IMG Worlds of Adventure: Ride-by-Ride Height Chart by Zone

At IMG Worlds of Adventure, your child’s height decides what they can ride, not their age. The park says so in its own rules: “Park ride restrictions are determined by height rather than by age, so please check specific rides for details of restrictions that may apply.”

That single line is why a generic theme-park chart is not much use here. Every attraction sets its own number, and the numbers are not grouped by zone — Lost Valley alone runs from 0.90 m to 1.30 m. Eight attractions publish a second, lower number that applies when an adult rides with the child. Six publish a maximum height, and two of those will eventually shut out a growing child.

Every IMG attraction appears below, zone by zone, in metres first — what IMG posts and measures against — with the park’s own feet-and-inches conversions.

One thing to fix before the tables: height is the first eligibility check, not the only one. IMG’s Park Access Guide adds conditions a tall-enough child can still fail — footwear, bracing, sitting upright unaided, the ability to walk. Those are flagged against each ride.

Figures here come from IMG’s own rides listing, Park Rules and Park Access Guide, the last stamped 20 August 2026. IMG notes ride availability “may vary day to day” — confirm on the day.

Short Answers: IMG Worlds Height Rules at a Glance

• The lowest published height at IMG Worlds is 0.90 m, for Dinosaurium and parts of LazyTown.
• The most important number in the park is 1.05 m — six attractions drop to it when an adult rides alongside.
• 1.30 m unlocks the largest single block of rides: six attractions open at that height with no adult needed.
• 1.40 m is the tallest requirement in the park, for Thor Thunder Spin and LazyTown Pirates Adventure.
• Six attractions publish a maximum height: Dinosaurium 1.25 m, LazyTown Soft Play 1.60 m, Hulk and Thor 1.95 m, Battle of Ultron and The Forbidden Territory 2.08 m.

Parents comparing venues before booking will find the same height-first logic applies across the city, and the height and age cutoffs at Dubai’s other theme parks sit at different thresholds again — which is why a chart built for one park cannot be reused for another.

Quick Height Guide

Find your child’s height in the left column. The right column tells you what changes at that point. Every band below corresponds to a real threshold published by IMG — no band has been invented to fill a gap.

Height also decides what you pay at the gate here rather than age, which is a separate calculation worth doing before you book — how Dubai attractions actually price children varies far more than most families expect.

Ride-by-Ride Height Chart by Zone

How to read every table below. IMG publishes up to three numbers per attraction:

• Minimum alone — the height at which the child may ride with no companion condition attached.
• Minimum with an adult — a lower height that becomes acceptable when an adult rides alongside.
• Maximum — a ceiling above which the guest is turned away, regardless of age.

A dash means IMG publishes no figure of that type for that attraction. It does not mean the restriction is absent — it means no number is posted.

What This Means for Children

Marvel is not the zone most families expect it to be. Its most accessible attraction is not a gentle ride for toddlers — it is Hulk Epsilon Base 3D at 1.00 m, a seated cinema dome. It publishes no accompanied option because its standalone figure is already the lowest in the zone.

Then the zone splits cleanly at two heights. At 1.05 m with an adult, three of the five open: Battle of Ultron, Spider-Man and Flight of the Quinjets. A 1.05 m child accompanied by a parent therefore has four of the five Marvel attractions available — a far better outcome than most published charts suggest, because most publish only the standalone figure.

At 1.30 m the companion requirement falls away on Battle of Ultron and Flight of the Quinjets, and at 1.20 m it falls away on Spider-Man. The one genuine wall is Thor Thunder Spin at 1.40 m, the tallest requirement anywhere in the park, with no accompanied option at all. If your child is between 1.05 m and 1.39 m, plan Marvel knowing Thor is out and the other four are in.

Two details worth carrying to the gate. Spider-Man requires shoes at all times and Thor requires footwear that is either secure or removed — so open sandals and loose flip-flops are a real risk on a family day here. And the maximums are not decorative: at 1.95 m, Hulk and Thor will turn away a very tall adult, which matters when the tall parent is the one meant to accompany a 1.05 m child.

Best Options by Child Height

Lost Valley carries the widest height spread of any zone — 0.90 m to 1.30 m — which makes it the zone where a family with children of different heights can actually keep everyone occupied in one place. It is also where the park’s two most misunderstood attractions sit.

Dinosaurium is the only IMG attraction a child grows out of. It opens at 0.90 m and closes at 1.25 m. That is a narrow window, and it moves in the wrong direction: a child who fits this year may not fit next year. If you have a child inside that band, treat Dinosaurium as a priority rather than a filler, because the same child will have very little else in the park at that height.

Adventure Fortress rewards bringing a parent along. Alone, it needs 1.25 m. With an adult, it drops to 0.95 m — a 30 cm concession, the largest in the park. That makes it the first real climbing attraction for a child under a metre.

The thrill end is straightforward. Predator at 1.25 m and The Velociraptor at 1.30 m publish no accompanied option, so there is no way around those numbers. The Forbidden Territory is the exception families miss: it reads as a headline dinosaur ride at 1.30 m, but it drops to 1.05 m with an adult — a 25 cm swing that brings it within reach of a much smaller child than the standalone figure suggests.

Watch the footwear rules here too. The Velociraptor refuses barefoot riders outright, and Adventure Fortress requires shoes or socks. Lost Valley is also where the park’s First Aid facility sits, which is worth knowing when you are pacing a Dubai day around younger children and something inevitably goes sideways. Families whose youngest sits below the 0.95 m mark should know that the thresholds are set lower elsewhere in the city — which Legoland Dubai rides open at each height starts well below anything IMG publishes.

LazyTown is five attractions, not one. IMG publishes a separate rule for each element, and this is the single most commonly flattened entry in every other IMG chart:

What Parents Should Know

Cartoon Network looks like the young-children zone and mostly is not. Three of its four rides start at 1.30 m or 1.35 m standalone — higher than anything in Lost Valley except The Velociraptor. What rescues the zone is the accompanied option on two of them.

The condition attached to that option is the detail to notice. On both Adventure Time and Gumball, IMG does not simply say a shorter child may ride with an adult. It says they may ride “only if the child can sit upright unaided.”

That is a capability test, not a height test, and an operator can apply it on the spot. If your child is 1.05 m but still slumps or needs support when seated, expect the answer at the gate to be no, whatever the tape measure says.

Mojo Robot Rampage is the zone’s tightest gate. The 10 cm gap between its accompanied figure of 1.25 m and its standalone 1.35 m is the narrowest concession in the park, and it comes with a bracing requirement that needs both arms.

LazyTown is where a shorter child actually spends time, and its Pirates Adventure is the only attraction in the park carrying a separate charge — AED 25 per person, pre-booked at the attraction, limited availability, and no guaranteed re-booking if you miss your slot. Build that into the plan and the budget rather than discovering it in the queue; small in-park extras are what quietly move a day’s spend, alongside the wider arithmetic of keeping a Dubai trip affordable.

The play area also requires shoes off and socks on, so socks belong in the bag whatever the weather. When the zone stops working, the food halls are the reset point — and knowing where Indian families eat well in Dubai saves a lot of negotiating with a tired child.

IMG Boulevard and The Haunted Town

These two zones hold one attraction each, and both are cases where the published information is thinner than the rest of the park. Reported here exactly as IMG states it.

Boulevard Express is the park’s transport ride, described by IMG as a journey through all the worlds the park has to offer. On paper it is the obvious answer for a family whose youngest cannot ride anything else. Treat that assumption with care.

IMG’s rides listing shows no height figure against it, yet the Access Guide tells riders they “must meet the height restrictions before riding.” Those two statements do not resolve each other. A restriction exists; the number is not published. Ask at the boarding point rather than assuming the ride takes any height.

The Haunted Hotel publishes no height and no minimum age in IMG’s current rides listing or Access Guide. Third-party pages widely state an age limit of 15; that figure appears nowhere in IMG’s own material, so it is not repeated here as fact.

What IMG does publish is a list of sensitivities that rules the attraction out for most children anyway — sudden visual effects, confined spaces and loud noises among them. Plan it for the older teenagers and adults in your group, and confirm the entry conditions at the door.

Neither zone is a write-off for a family. IMG Boulevard is the park’s dining and retail street and holds one of the two Guest Relations desks — the other is in Lost Valley — where a People of Determination access pass is issued on production of a medical letter.

It is also the natural place to park a stroller-bound child between rides, and how strollers are handled on flights, the Metro and inside attractions differs enough across Dubai venues to be worth checking before the trip rather than at the turnstile.

Attractions for Smaller Children

If your child is under a metre, this is the section that decides whether an IMG day is worth booking at all. The honest picture is narrow but not empty.

The rule that overrides every number above. IMG’s Access Guide states that its attractions are not suitable for “children who are unable to walk and sit upright unaided,” and adds: “It is not permitted for babies to be held in the arms of other riders.” A baby who happens to measure 0.90 m still cannot ride, because they cannot be carried on and cannot meet the walk-and-sit condition. Height is the published gate; walking and sitting unaided is the real floor beneath it.

Do not read a low height as a signal that an attraction suits a toddler. Adventure Fortress opens at 0.95 m accompanied, but it is a climbing structure with towers, nets and a fear-of-heights warning. Pirates Adventure permits a shorter child with an adult, but IMG describes it as physically demanding and requires guests to walk unaided to complete the course. Low number, high demand — those are not the same thing.

If your youngest sits below the 0.90 m line, an IMG day still works for a mixed group — but not as a day built around that child. Pairing a morning outdoors with an IMG afternoon for the older siblings serves a wide-height family better than forcing one venue to do both jobs, and an outdoor morning at Dubai Miracle Garden is the usual pick in the cooler months.

Free options carry no eligibility rules at all, which is why Dubai’s public beaches often turn out to be the youngest child’s best day of the trip.

What If My Child Is Exactly at the Height Limit?

Treat borderline as a planning problem, not a gate-day gamble.

Measure at home on a hard floor, shoes off, heels to the wall, and write the number in centimetres. A child who measures exactly 1.30 m at home is not reliably a 1.30 m child at the ride entrance — conditions differ, posture changes through the day, and the reading the operator takes is the one that counts.

Do not plan around thick soles, hair volume or standing tall. IMG publishes no measurement tolerance, and none should be assumed. The park states plainly that its staff make the call: “If an Attendant or Operator is concerned for the safety of any Guest they will say so and may ask for a second opinion from their manager.”

So build the day around the rides your child clears comfortably and treat the marginal one as a bonus. A child at 1.28 m should have a plan that works at 1.25 m. The disappointment worth avoiding is not the refusal — it is having built the whole day around a ride that was never certain.

Height Requirement Does Not Mean Guaranteed Ride Access

This is the part most charts leave out, and it is where families get caught.

IMG’s Park Access Guide is explicit that height sits inside a wider set of conditions: “Detailed below are the general restrictions which apply to all attractions, however, guests must be aware that access to individual attractions is also subject to additional restrictions.”

The general conditions that apply everywhere in the park:

• Children who are unable to walk and sit upright unaided cannot use the attractions.
• Babies may not be held in the arms of other riders.
• Pregnant women are not permitted on the rides.
• Guests with a medical history of heart, back or neck problems, cardiovascular problems or high blood pressure are excluded.
• Guests who have recently had surgery or been recently unwell are excluded.
• Any caretaker accompanying a guest must be at least 18 years old.

On top of that, individual rides add their own. Four categories catch families whose child clears the height:

Footwear. The Velociraptor will not take a barefoot rider. Spider-Man requires shoes at all times, Thor requires footwear secure or removed, Adventure Fortress requires shoes or socks, and LazyTown’s play area requires shoes off and socks on. One pair of socks in the bag solves most of these.

Bracing. Battle of Ultron and The Forbidden Territory need two points of contact. Thor needs both arms throughout. Mojo Robot Rampage needs both arms intact and full upper body control. Predator needs both arms and both legs.

Sitting upright unaided. Ben10 states it outright. Adventure Time and Gumball attach it directly to the accompanied-child concession — the version that matters most to parents.

Evacuation capability. Predator requires an unaided transfer to a platform at height and the ability to walk 25 metres unaided. Adventure Time requires the same transfer. These are the conditions under which a stopped ride can be safely emptied.

If You Are Travelling With a Child With Disabilities

IMG publishes a separate set of provisions, and they are worth arranging before you queue rather than at the ride.

• A People of Determination access pass is issued at any ticketing kiosk and at Guest Relations in IMG Boulevard and Lost Valley, on production of a medical letter as proof of disability.
• A 50% discounted day pass is available at the ticketing counters with proof of disability; the helper enters on a full-priced day pass.
• The helper must qualify as an adult under the park’s terms and must be able to physically assist in the event of a ride malfunction or evacuation.
• Wheelchairs are available in limited numbers on a first come, first served basis from Guest Relations in IMG Boulevard, just past the entrance turnstiles.

IMG also reserves the right to refuse access on safety grounds and states that doing so “is not considered discriminatory.” If a child is turned away despite meeting the height, that is the policy applied as written. Having a fallback that needs no eligibility check at all — the indoor attractions inside Dubai Mall work well for this — takes the sting out of a refusal you cannot argue with.

Height-Based Family Planning

Use your child’s measured height to decide which zones are worth your time, rather than walking the park and finding out.

Below 0.90 m. Plan a short visit or skip it. Only LazyTown publishes access, and three of its five elements need an adult alongside. With older children in the group, splitting the day works better than forcing one itinerary to serve both ends — which only holds together if the room booking already accounts for everyone, and how Dubai hotels count children in a room varies by property.

0.90 m to 1.04 m. Lost Valley is your base. Dinosaurium is the anchor, Adventure Fortress opens with an adult from 0.95 m, and Hulk Epsilon Base 3D adds a Marvel attraction from 1.00 m. Three or four attractions is a realistic day.

1.05 m to 1.19 m. Where an IMG day starts making sense. Dino Carousel opens outright and six attractions open with an adult alongside, across three zones. Plan for an adult to ride rather than watch — that decision alone roughly triples the ride count.

1.20 m to 1.24 m. Spider-Man and Gumball no longer need a companion, and LazyTown’s Tree House and Stephanie’s Dance Academy open. A meaningful share of the park is now semi-independent, though an adult is still needed for the 1.30 m rides.

1.25 m to 1.29 m. Predator and Adventure Fortress open standalone; Mojo Robot Rampage opens with an adult. Dinosaurium closes above 1.25 m — with a younger sibling still using it, this is where the two itineraries genuinely separate.

1.30 m to 1.34 m. The biggest single unlock: six attractions, no adult required. From here the day plans itself.

1.35 m to 1.39 m. Everything except Thor Thunder Spin and Pirates Adventure.

1.40 m and above. Every published minimum is met. Only the maximums still apply — 1.95 m on Hulk and Thor, 2.08 m on Battle of Ultron and The Forbidden Territory — and those affect tall adults, not children.

Two inputs sit outside the chart. Crowd levels decide how many of these you actually clear, so which months suit a family trip from India is worth settling before the date is fixed. And placement matters: how a five-night Dubai plan is usually spread puts the indoor parks on the hottest afternoon rather than the first jet-lagged morning.

How Much an Accompanying Adult Is Worth

Eight attractions publish both a standalone and an accompanied figure. Ranked by the size of the concession, this is what riding alongside your child actually buys:

Read the column rather than the individual gaps: six of these eight land on the same accompanied figure of 1.05 m. A child who reaches 1.05 m and has a parent willing to ride gains those six at once, on top of Dino Carousel, which needs no companion at all. That is why 1.05 m does more work than any other number in the park.

Common Planning Mistakes

Checking age instead of height. A tall six-year-old will clear more rides than a small nine-year-old. IMG’s rules are unambiguous on this.

Using one generic IMG height chart. Checked against the park’s own figures in August 2026, two widely-shared third-party IMG ride lists disagreed with each other on nine of the fifteen attractions both covered — including whether Adventure Fortress carries a height rule at all. Neither carried the LazyTown breakdown.

Assuming a zone shares one rule. Lost Valley runs from 0.90 m to 1.30 m; Cartoon Network from 0.90 m to 1.40 m. There is no such thing as a zone height.

Reading only the standalone figure. Eight attractions publish a lower accompanied height. Plan off the standalone numbers and you will write off rides your child could take.

Assuming the accompanied option is automatic. On Adventure Time and Gumball it applies only if the child can sit upright unaided.

Ignoring maximum heights. Dinosaurium stops at 1.25 m and LazyTown’s Soft Play at 1.60 m. Hulk and Thor stop at 1.95 m, Battle of Ultron and The Forbidden Territory at 2.08 m — and those last four can rule out the very adult meant to accompany a short child.

Forgetting footwear. Five attractions carry a footwear condition. Sandals are the most common avoidable refusal on a family day.

Using an outdated chart. IMG states that “the availability of any ride or attraction may vary day to day,” and its Access Guide carries a last-updated date that moves.

Overlooking the journey. Most families reach the park by road, and car seat rules for children in Dubai taxis are worth reading before assuming a seat will be waiting. For stringing the park together with other stops, how far the Metro network actually reaches decides which can be done without a car — and choosing where to base yourself in Dubai sets the travel time to all of them.

Two park rules that catch families out and have nothing to do with height: no outside food or beverages may be brought into the theme park, and any guest under 12 should be accompanied by someone aged 16 or older. The midday opening also matters more than it looks — an IMG day is an afternoon and evening, not a full day, so a morning activity elsewhere is not optional padding but the way the day is built.

The lowest published height is 0.90 m (2 ft 11 in), which applies to Dinosaurium in Lost Valley and to Robbie’s Lair inside LazyTown. Below that, only LazyTown’s Robbie’s Lair, Tree House and Pirates Adventure permit a shorter child when accompanied by an adult, and the Soft Play Area publishes no minimum. There is no single park-wide minimum — each attraction publishes its own figure, and IMG asks guests to check the specific ride rather than assume a general rule.
