Many Indian school holidays fall in Dubai’s hottest months. On some afternoons, staying outdoors with a child is not a real option. You already know that. This page answers the next question: where can we go indoors today?
That comes down to four questions:
- Will it suit the age of each child we have with us?
- What will the whole family pay?
- How long will it take?
- What can we do next without crossing the city in the heat?
This page covers seven indoor options in detail: The Green Planet, KidZania, OliOli, AYA Universe, the Museum of Illusions, Chaos Karts and the family attractions at Dubai Hills Mall. It also notes the indoor extras that sit beside them in the same mall. Ski Dubai and the IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park are not covered in detail here; the links under ages 4 to 6 and 11 to 16 lead to them.
Every price and rule comes from the venue’s own website or its official booking partner, read on Oct. 1, 2026. Prices change, so treat each one as “from” on that date. Where we give a planning time rather than a published one, we say so.
Seven places at a glance
| Venue | Area | Who it suits (editorial) | Child | Adult | Planning time | Pair with |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Green Planet | City Walk | 2 and up; best around 4 to 12 | 2 to 10: AED 135 (online offer) | 11+: AED 155 (online offer) | 1.5 to 2 hours (editorial) | Roxy Cinemas at City Walk |
| KidZania | The Dubai Mall | 4 to 12 is the core | 4 to 16: AED 195 | 17+: AED 90 | A half day (editorial) | Dubai Ice Rink, Dubai Aquarium |
| OliOli | Al Quoz 1, by Oasis Centre | 1 to 10 | 2 to 16: from AED 139 for 2 hours | One adult free per child ticket | 2 or 3 hours (ticket) | Chaos Karts, for taller children |
| AYA Universe | Wafi Mall | Older children and teenagers | 3+: AED 135 (may be outdated) | Same 3+ rate (our reading) | About an hour (editorial) | Magic Planet, Wafi |
| Museum of Illusions | Al Seef | 5 and up | Price on the booking link only | Same | 45 to 90 minutes (venue) | A short add-on; no second kids’ venue confirmed nearby |
| Chaos Karts | Al Quoz 1 | 1.30 m and taller | AED 140 per driver | Same | About an hour on site (venue) | OliOli for younger siblings |
| Dubai Hills Mall | Dubai Hills | Toddlers to teenagers, by attraction | Adventure Park from AED 129 an hour | See the section | 2 to 4 hours (editorial) | All under one roof |
Prices are in AED, as displayed on Oct. 1, 2026. Of the ticket pages we read, only The Green Planet’s states that its prices include VAT.
Start from your family, not the list
- If your youngest is a toddler, start with OliOli, The Green Planet or the toddler zone at Dubai Hills’ Adventure Park. KidZania charges a toddler rate from 2, but its core experience is built for older children.
- If your children are 4 to 6, OliOli, The Green Planet and KidZania all work. The Museum of Illusions is short enough to hold their attention.
- If they are 7 to 10, KidZania is at its best, and the Museum of Illusions and Adventure Park suit them too.
- If they are 11 to 16, Chaos Karts, The Storm Coaster, AYA Universe and the Museum of Illusions are likely to feel right.
- If the ages are far apart, choose a mall with two things in it, such as Dubai Hills or The Dubai Mall, so nobody spends the afternoon bored.
- If you have two or three hours, choose one venue, not two: OliOli on a 2-hour ticket, The Green Planet or the Museum of Illusions.
- If you want most of the afternoon indoors, KidZania or Dubai Hills Mall can fill it.
The Green Planet
What it is. A covered rainforest at City Walk, with animals and plants inside a climate-controlled building. The site gives the inside conditions as 24 to 27 C at about 75% humidity. It is warm and humid, not cold.
Tickets. The online day pass is AED 155 for an adult (11 and over) and AED 135 for a junior (2 to 10), and children under 2 are free. The site says “VAT included (5%)”.
The day pass’s own terms call it an offer: “applicable on online bookings made before 12:00pm only” and “valid until 10 October 2026”. A banner also says “Buy online before 3:30 pm … and save”. The site publishes neither the gate price nor the price after the offer ends, so book online before noon, and check the price if you visit after Oct. 10.
Free entry ends on the second birthday here, and how the free-entry cut-off for babies varies between Dubai venues sets out the other rules.
Hours. The official pages say 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. No last-entry time is published, so arrive well before 6 p.m.
Rules to know:
- Supervision: the venue’s pages give different ages for children who need an adult with them, so our advice is to stay with any child under 16.
- Seasonal closures: the park rules say the Adventure Trail and Slide close in summer “until September”, without a year. Ask whether they are open.
- Prams: we found no published pram rule.
For which ages. A toddler gets something out of it if they enjoy animals. Children of 4 to 12 usually get the most from it. Teenagers may find it short.
| The Green Planet | |
|---|---|
| Area | City Walk |
| Child / adult | 2 to 10 AED 135 / 11+ AED 155, online offer to Oct. 10, 2026; under 2 free |
| Planning time | 1.5 to 2 hours (editorial) |
| Indoor | Yes, warm and humid inside |
| Next | Roxy Cinemas at City Walk; or a taxi elsewhere |
KidZania
What it is. A role-play city built to children’s scale inside The Dubai Mall. Children take part; adults mostly watch and wait.
Tickets (KidZania’s site, Oct. 1, 2026):
| Ticket | Price |
|---|---|
| Economy, ages 4 to 16 | AED 195 |
| Premium, ages 4 to 16 | AED 260 |
| Toddlers, 2 to 3 | AED 130 |
| Adults, 17 and over | AED 90 |
| Babies, 0 to 1 | Free |
Its FAQ says every adult must pay. We could not see the online prices, because the ticket site does not display them to our reading tool.
Leaving children. The rule is about height, not age. Children under 120 cm cannot be left without an adult. We found no page that says a taller child may be left, so ask before you plan to.
Hours. Sunday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Last entry is an hour before closing. Children can stay until closing time; children who leave and come back pay a re-entry fee.
For which ages. The toddler ticket gets a 2- or 3-year-old in, but most activities are designed for school-age children. Primary-school children get the most out of it. By 13 or 14, some will find it young.
| KidZania | |

OliOli
What it is. A large hands-on play space, a building of its own at 62 4A Street, Al Quoz 1, next to Oasis Centre. It is not in a mall.
Tickets (OliOli’s site, Oct. 1, 2026):
- Ages 2 to 16: AED 149 for a 2-hour Discovery ticket, or AED 139 as an online offer; the 2-hour Full Access ticket is AED 179. A 3-hour ticket is AED 179 to 189.
- Toddlers aged 12 to 23 months: AED 69 to 94, depending on the ticket.
- Under 11 months: free.
- Adults: each child ticket includes one free adult.
- Family Pass: AED 249 for two children and two adults for 2 hours, marked “limited edition”.
Rules. Book a time slot online. Some zones are socks-only, and socks are sold at reception. An adult aged 18 or over must supervise at all times; normal visits are not drop-off.
Hours. Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. That 9 a.m. start lets you be inside before the worst of the heat.
For which ages. Toddlers to about 10 get the most from it. Older children may enjoy it with younger siblings, but few teenagers will choose it.
| OliOli | |
|---|---|
| Area | Al Quoz 1 |
| Child / adult | 2 to 16 from AED 139 (2 hours) / one adult free per child |

| Next | Chaos Karts in the same district, for children 1.30 m and taller |
AYA Universe
What it is. An immersive light-and-sound attraction on the first floor of Wafi Mall, Oud Metha. Wafi describes 12 zones of light, sound and art, one of them a large ball pit.
Tickets. The page we could read gives “AED 135 3+ years old” and “Children Below 3 are free”. The same page also carries an offer that ended in August 2024, so this price may not be current. AYA’s booking site would not load for us. Check the price before you go.
Hours. Sunday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to midnight. Last entry is an hour before closing.
What we could not find. A visit length, pram or supervision rules, and any warning about flashing lights. If anyone in the family is sensitive to light, call the venue first (+971 4 542 0300).
For which ages. Older children and teenagers get the most from it. A toddler may find a dark room of moving light frightening rather than fun.
| AYA Universe | |
|---|---|
| Area | Wafi Mall, first floor |
| Child / adult | 3+ AED 135 (check; may be outdated); under 3 free |
| Planning time | About an hour (editorial) |

| Next | Magic Planet, Podium 2, Wafi Mall |
Museum of Illusions
What it is. Rooms of optical illusions and photo set-ups at Souk Al Seef, on the heritage side.
Tickets. The museum’s site sends you to its Platinumlist booking page for prices, and that page blocked our tool. Children “ages two and younger” go free. Under-16s must be accompanied. The museum’s site also warns that “fraudulent websites are currently replicating MOI Dubai’s official site”. Book only through the link on museumofillusions.ae.
Hours. Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday to Sunday and public holidays, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The site shows a “Currently closed!” label, which appears to be a live open-or-closed display rather than a closure notice. We checked it after closing time.
How long. The museum says 45 to 90 minutes, which makes it one of the few venues here that publishes a visit length.
Prams. Prams can go almost everywhere. The exceptions are the Vortex Tunnel, the Ames Room and the Anti Gravity Room.
For which ages. Children of 5 and over, and teenagers, enjoy the illusions and the photographs. A toddler will mostly be carried through.
| Museum of Illusions | |
|---|---|
| Area | Al Seef |
| Child / adult | On the official booking link; 2 and under free |
| Planning time | 45 to 90 minutes (venue) |

| Next | No second indoor kids’ venue confirmed at Al Seef; plan it as a short outing |
Chaos Karts
What it is. Indoor go-karting at Active Games, 6A Street, Al Quoz 1. It is air-conditioned. Use chaoskarts.ae; chaoskarts.com goes to a UK site.
Who can drive. There is no minimum age, but drivers must be at least 1.30 m tall. Under-16s need an adult with them; Fever, the official booking partner, also accepts a consent form signed in advance by an adult. We found no junior or double karts. The venue uses strobe lights, and says guests cannot race if they are pregnant, have epilepsy or have a weak back or neck.
If your child is just under the line, how parks handle a sibling who cannot ride yet covers the options parks offer.
Tickets and time. The official booking partner, Fever, shows Standard AED 140 and Premium AED 180 per driver. It also has a Family Bundle at AED 126 (minimum four tickets, no more than two adults), which we read as a per-ticket price. A session is 20 minutes of racing, about an hour on site.
Hours. The official site says Monday to Thursday, 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to midnight; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fever’s slot calendar does not match these hours on every day, so go by the venue and check the slot you book.
For which ages. Tall children, teenagers and adults. A sibling under 1.30 m cannot drive, so they will need something else to do.
| Chaos Karts | |
|---|---|
| Area | Al Quoz 1 |
| Rule | 1.30 m minimum height; under-16s with an adult or signed consent |

| Indoor | Yes, air-conditioned |
| Next | OliOli, for younger siblings, earlier in the day |
Dubai Hills Mall: several attractions under one roof
Dubai Hills Mall works as a single indoor day out rather than one attraction. These are the family options the mall and Emaar list as operating:
| Attraction | Age or height rule | Price (Oct. 1, 2026) | Time | Suits (editorial) | Pairs with |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Storm Coaster (ground level) | Minimum 1.30 m. The operator says: “We do not go by age; we go by height.” | AED 75 / 119 / 169 for 1, 2 or 3 rides | The operator lists “2.15 minutes” a ride | Tall children, teenagers | Adventure Park, for a younger sibling |
| Adventure Park by Emaar (Level 1) | 4 years and over; individual activities need 90 to 125 cm | AED 129 for 1 hour, AED 199 for 2 hours, AED 269 for a day pass | 1 hour, 2 hours or the day | 4 to 12 | The Storm Coaster |
| Adventure Park toddler zone (Todds Play) | Ages 1 to 4 | AED 40 for 30 minutes or AED 75 for 1 hour | 30 minutes or 1 hour | Toddlers | The main park, for older siblings |
| Play DXB | Varies by ride | Packages from AED 250 to 1,000; inclusions not published, so not a per-person entry price | Varies | Mixed ages | The others above |
Socks are compulsory at Adventure Park and cost extra. Everyone riding The Storm Coaster signs a waiver, and parents sign for under-18s.
The mall also has Roxy Cinemas, Hamleys Play, La La Land and Like Bricks. We have not checked their rules, so ask.
Why it works. A toddler can do the toddler zone while a 7-year-old does the main park and a teenager rides the coaster. Lunch is in the same building. The catch is getting there: the mall’s own page mentions no Metro station, only roads and taxis.
By age: who gets the most out of what
Toddlers. Start with OliOli (from 12 months on a toddler ticket), Adventure Park’s toddler zone or The Green Planet. Keep the visit to about two hours and plan a nap after it. In our view, KidZania, AYA Universe and the illusion rooms suit older children better. For the wider question of free entry and age cut-offs for the youngest, check each venue’s own band.
Ages 4 to 6. OliOli, The Green Planet, Adventure Park and KidZania all fit. Short attention spans favour the Museum of Illusions over a long visit anywhere. Height rules start to matter here; for the bigger parks, see ride-by-ride height limits at Dubai’s four main theme parks.
Ages 7 to 10. This is KidZania’s core group, and a half day there is realistic. Adventure Park and the Museum of Illusions suit this age, and a tall 9- or 10-year-old may clear Chaos Karts’ 1.30 m.
Ages 11 to 16. Chaos Karts, The Storm Coaster, AYA Universe and the Museum of Illusions. A play centre will probably feel too young. If they want snow rather than speed, an afternoon on the indoor slope is the other cold option.
Siblings far apart in age. Choose a place with two things in it. At Dubai Hills, a 4-year-old can do Adventure Park while a 12-year-old rides The Storm Coaster. At The Dubai Mall, one adult can stay with an older child at KidZania while the other takes a toddler to the ice rink or the aquarium, all under the same roof. Avoid choosing a venue that works for one child and leaves the other waiting.
How much time each one takes
| Venue | Shortest worthwhile visit | Typical | Long | Short activity? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Green Planet | 1 hour | 1.5 to 2 hours | 3 hours | Yes |
| KidZania | 2 hours | 3 to 5 hours | Until closing | No; make it the main event |
| OliOli | 2 hours (ticket) | 2 hours | 3 hours (ticket) | Yes, on a 2-hour ticket |
| AYA Universe | 45 minutes | About 1 hour | 1.5 hours | Yes |
| Museum of Illusions | 45 minutes (venue) | 1 hour | 90 minutes (venue) | Yes |
| Chaos Karts | 1 hour on site (venue) | 1 hour | 2 sessions | Yes |
| Dubai Hills Mall attractions | 1 hour (Adventure Park ticket) | 2 to 3 hours | A day pass | Either |
Times marked “venue” or “ticket” come from the venue. All others are our planning estimates, not published durations.
In a two- or three-hour window, the Museum of Illusions, AYA Universe, a 2-hour OliOli ticket, The Green Planet or a karting session each fit.
For most of a half day, KidZania or a Dubai Hills Mall visit can carry it.
What it costs a family
| Venue | Child | Adult | Free | Family ticket | 2 adults + 2 children (our calculation) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Green Planet | AED 135 (2 to 10) | AED 155 (11+) | Under 2 | None found | AED 580 on the online offer (to Oct. 10, 2026), for children aged 2 to 10 |
| KidZania (Economy) | AED 195 (4 to 16) | AED 90 (17+) | 0 to 1 | None found | AED 570, for children aged 4 to 16 |
| OliOli (2 hours) | AED 139 to 149 (2 to 16) | One free per child ticket | Under 11 months | AED 249, 2 + 2 (“limited edition”) | AED 278 on the online offer, AED 298 on Discovery tickets, or AED 249 on the Family Pass |
| AYA Universe | AED 135 (3+) | AED 135 (our reading of the 3+ rate) | Under 3 | None found | AED 540, if the published price is still current and covers adults |
| Museum of Illusions | On the booking link | On the booking link | 2 and under | Not checked | Not calculable |
| Chaos Karts | AED 140 per driver | AED 140 per driver | Not applicable | Family Bundle, AED 126 (per ticket, on our reading) | AED 504 for four drivers on the Family Bundle, if priced per ticket |
| Adventure Park | AED 129 (1 hour) | Not published | Not applicable | None found | Depends on who plays |
These totals are calculations from the listed prices, not quotes. Your family’s total changes with your children’s ages. The “child” price alone misleads where adults also pay, as at KidZania and The Green Planet (and, on our reading of its single 3+ price, AYA Universe), and where they do not, as at OliOli. Some prices are promotions rather than standard rates; we have said so where the venue does.
Refund terms can depend on where you book, so it helps to know who you are really buying from when you book an attraction ticket.
Two attractions in one day: when it works
Two indoor attractions make a good day only when:
- They are in the same mall or very close.
- Both suit the same children.
- The transfer is short and mostly air-conditioned.
- The first does not exhaust the children.
- Their hours overlap.
- Lunch fits between them.
- The total cost is acceptable.
A day that works looks like this: first attraction, lunch and a rest, second attraction. A day that does not: first attraction, a long taxi ride, second attraction, tired children.
Pairs in the same building
The Dubai Mall: KidZania with the ice rink or the aquarium. The Dubai Ice Rink is on the ground floor, at AED 100 for 90 minutes with skates and socks included; under-120 cm skaters need an adult.
Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo tickets start at AED 199 (Silver). Its animal-encounter add-ons require under-15s to be with an adult aged 15 or over; we found no such rule for general entry. The aquarium’s hours differ between Emaar’s page and the mall’s, so check.
Our estimate: allow 4 to 6 hours in all if KidZania is the main event. The mall is linked to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro station by an air-conditioned link of about 820 m with 10 travelators, reported in what the long link from the station is really like on foot.
Wafi Mall: AYA Universe with Magic Planet. Magic Planet is on Podium 2, with arcade games, rides and “a dedicated soft play area”, and keeps the same hours as AYA. It suits a family with a teenager for AYA and a younger child for the soft play. Wafi’s site says to take the Metro to Dubai Healthcare City station.
Dubai Hills Mall: Adventure Park with The Storm Coaster. Both are inside, with lunch in between, and one plan covers a wide age spread.
City Walk: The Green Planet with a film. Roxy Cinemas is part of City Walk. The park sends drivers to a City Walk car park “across the road”, so allow for a short walk outside between the two. City Walk’s other listings, such as the playground, are not confirmed as indoor.
A nearby pair: Al Quoz
OliOli in the morning, Chaos Karts in the afternoon. Both are in Al Quoz 1. OliOli opens at 9 a.m. Chaos Karts opens at 1 p.m. on Monday to Thursday and at 11 a.m. on other days. That suits a family with a young child and a tall older one. We could not verify the distance between the two, so book a taxi rather than walking it at midday. Neither venue publishes a Metro route.
Al Seef. We found no second indoor children’s venue at Al Seef to pair with the Museum of Illusions, so plan it as a short outing on its own.
Pairings side by side
| First | Second | How close | Combined time (editorial) | Ages (editorial) | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| KidZania | Dubai Ice Rink | Same mall, The Dubai Mall | 4 to 6 hours with lunch | 4 to 12 | Skaters under 120 cm need an adult |
| KidZania | Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo | Same mall, The Dubai Mall | 4 to 6 hours with lunch | 4 to 12 | From AED 199 a ticket on top of KidZania; official pages give different hours |
| AYA Universe | Magic Planet | Same mall, Wafi | About 2 hours | A teenager with a younger sibling | AYA’s AED 135 price may be out of date |
| Adventure Park | The Storm Coaster | Same mall, Dubai Hills | 2 to 3 hours | 4 and over; 1.30 m for the coaster | The mall names no Metro station, so take a taxi there |
| The Green Planet | A film at Roxy Cinemas | Both at City Walk; the park’s car park is across a road | The park visit plus the film | 4 to 12 | Probably a short walk outside; the park closes at 6 p.m. |
| OliOli | Chaos Karts | Same district, Al Quoz 1, by taxi | 4 to 5 hours with lunch | A young child and one of 1.30 m or more | Distance not verified; karting starts at 1 p.m. Monday to Thursday |
These are combinations, not a ranking. Combined times are our estimates.
What an indoor day can look like
These are editorial examples, not the only way to plan. Every start and finish time is our estimate, set inside each venue’s published hours, and each plan puts lunch and a rest between attractions. If your family keeps a Jain or strict vegetarian diet, sort out a lunch stop that suits your diet before you leave the hotel.
- A toddler. OliOli at 9 a.m. on a 2-hour ticket, then lunch and a nap at the hotel. If the nap goes well, The Green Planet from 3 p.m., and back by 5 p.m. Assumes a child of 12 months to 3.
- Primary-school children. KidZania from 10 a.m., lunch in The Dubai Mall, then the aquarium; out by about 4 p.m. Assumes children of 4 to 12. Eat after KidZania, not during it: children who leave and come back pay a re-entry fee.
- Teenagers. Chaos Karts at 11 a.m. on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday (it opens at 1 p.m. on other days). Lunch and a rest at the hotel, then AYA Universe after 5 p.m., and back by about 7 p.m. Assumes drivers of 1.30 m or more.
- Two in one mall. Adventure Park at Dubai Hills Mall from 10:30 a.m. on a 2-hour ticket, lunch in the mall, then The Storm Coaster; out by about 2:30 p.m. Assumes one child of 4 or over and one of 1.30 m or more.
- A short afternoon. Lunch at the hotel, then The Green Planet from 2 p.m. on a day pass booked online before noon; out by about 4 p.m., with no second venue. Assumes a child who enjoys animals.
- Siblings far apart in age. The Dubai Mall from 10 a.m.: one adult takes the older child to KidZania while the other takes the toddler to the aquarium. Lunch together once KidZania is done, then a rest; out by about 3 p.m. Assumes two adults and an older child of 4 or over.
Getting between them without the heat
The Dubai Mall is the only venue here with a covered Metro link we could confirm, so most transfers are taxis. If you are taking young children, read up on the child-seat law and what Dubai taxis actually carry. If you do use the Metro, check which family members need their own paid nol card before you set out.
For the months when even a short walk outside is too much, plan the taxi door to door. Keep the main attraction and lunch in one building through the middle of the day, and save anything outdoors for the evening.
Mistakes that waste a hot day
- Choosing by the brochure, not the child’s age. A toddler at KidZania or a teenager at OliOli gets little from the day.
- Pricing the child ticket only. At KidZania and The Green Planet, adults pay too, and AYA’s single 3+ price appears to include them.
- Ignoring height rules. Chaos Karts and The Storm Coaster go by 1.30 m, not age.
- Planning two venues across the city. The taxi time eats the day.
- Turning up at OliOli without a booking. It asks guests to book a time slot online before arriving.
- Forgetting socks. OliOli and Adventure Park require them.
- Assuming you can leave a child at KidZania. Under 120 cm, you cannot.
- Trusting an old price. Prices change often; check the venue’s own site on the morning you go.
- Arriving at Chaos Karts before it opens. On Monday to Thursday it opens at 1 p.m.
- Packing a whole day of food. Check whether you can bring your own snacks past the entrance before carrying a cool bag.
Parents’ questions on a hot afternoon
Where can I take children indoors when it is too hot outside?
The Green Planet, KidZania, OliOli, AYA Universe, the Museum of Illusions, Chaos Karts and the attractions at Dubai Hills Mall are all indoors.
Which work for toddlers?
OliOli (from 12 months), Adventure Park’s toddler zone and The Green Planet.
Which suit teenagers?
Chaos Karts and The Storm Coaster (1.30 m minimum), AYA Universe and the Museum of Illusions.
Do adults need tickets?
At KidZania (AED 90) and The Green Planet (AED 155), yes. AYA Universe lists one price for everyone aged 3 and over, which appears to include adults. At OliOli, one adult is free with each child ticket.
Which two can I do in one day?
KidZania with the ice rink or the aquarium, all in The Dubai Mall. AYA Universe with Magic Planet at Wafi. Adventure Park with The Storm Coaster at Dubai Hills. OliOli with Chaos Karts in Al Quoz.
Are these places fully air-conditioned?
Not all in the same way. The Green Planet keeps its rainforest at 24 to 27 C with about 75% humidity, so it feels warm. Chaos Karts says it is air-conditioned. The others are inside malls or, at OliOli, a building of its own. The heat you meet is usually on the way in, which is why the transfer matters as much as the venue.
How many can children manage in one day?
Usually one main venue, or two in one building with lunch between them. A toddler often manages one, with a nap after. KidZania alone can take 3 to 5 hours, so treat it as the main event.
Which are poor choices for very young children?
Chaos Karts and The Storm Coaster, because of the 1.30 m height rule. AYA Universe and KidZania offer a young child less than OliOli does.
How much does a family day cost?
For two adults and two children, the totals in our cost table run from AED 249 at OliOli on the Family Pass to AED 580 at The Green Planet, and KidZania on Premium tickets comes to AED 700, before transport and food.
A last check at the hotel door
- The venue suits every child’s age and height
- Today’s price checked on the venue’s own site
- A time slot booked where needed (OliOli)
- Socks packed for OliOli or Adventure Park
- A consent form for any under-16 driving at Chaos Karts without an adult
- Opening time checked (Chaos Karts opens at 1 p.m. on Monday to Thursday)
- The second venue in the same building, or a short taxi away
- Lunch planned between the two
- A taxi booked door to door, not a walk in the midday sun
A note before you book: Trekhops is a travel company, and our family packages to Dubai for the summer school break are on sale. If one interests you, ask us which indoor attractions it includes and what each costs for your children’s ages.
